The 6th Annual Polar Plunge. In order to plunge you can raise or donate a minimum of $50 ($25 if 18 and younger). Each plunger will get pizza and a drink as well as an event t-shirt.

2018 Spring Sports Registration
The Guntersville Rec Department has began taking registrations for Spring Sports 2018. Registration will be for t-ball, baseball, and softball. Flyers will be going out to schools next week so be on the lookout for those. The deadline is February 16th!!

2017/2018 Christmas and New Years Week Modified Recycling and Garbage Schedule
The City of Guntersville will be closed for Christmas on Monday, December 25th and Tuesday, December 26th and will also be closed on New Years Day Monday, January 1st. The modified Christmas & New Years Weeks Recycling & Garbage Schedule is as follows:
Christmas Week
- All recycling City-wide will be picked up on Wednesday, December 27th. This will include garbage for residents of Gunter’s Landing.
- Garbage pickup will resume its regular schedule on Thursday, December 28th and Friday, December 29th.
New Year’s Week
- Regular Monday recycling will be picked up on Tuesday, January 2nd. This will include garbage pickup for residents of Gunter’s Landing.
- Regular Tuesday recycling will be picked up on Wednesday, January 3rd.
- Garbage pickup will resume its regular schedule on Thursday, January 4th and Friday, January, 5th.
Please have your recycling and garbage out for pickup service the night before or by 6:00 AM on your modified date.

Winter Rec League Basketball
Guntersville Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce a collaboration with Sure Shot Basketball and Supreme Courts to offer a Guntersville City League for winter recreation basketball. Practices and games will be held at both the Rec Center’s two courts and the newly constructed courts at Supreme Courts in Warrenton. This will allow us more options for practices and the ability to host more home games. Not to mention the great benefit of keeping everything at earlier times…!! You can register online(if this option is chosen there will be a convenience fee for credit card use added to the total) OR you may still register and pay in house at the Guntersville Rec Center. The cost to register is $65. Sample uniforms will be available for sizing if someone needs to come by the Rec Center and confirm your child’s sizing.
Deadline to register will be October 21st!!!
