Memorial Day 2019 Garbage & Recycling Schedule

The City of Guntersville Offices will be closed on Monday, May 27th in observance of Memorial Day.  Recycling will be a day late. Residents with regular Monday service will be picked  on Tuesday and those with regular Tuesday service will be picked up on Wednesday. Gunter’s Landing will have both recycling and garbage services on Tuesday. Garbage service will run a the normal service schedule.

New Year’s Garbage & Recycling Schedule

New Year’s Week
All residents with regular Monday recycling will be service on New Year’s Eve, Monday, December 31, 2018. The City of Guntersville offices will be closed on Tuesday, January 1, 2019. Residents with regular Tuesday recycling will receive service on Wednesday (Jan. 2). Gunter’s Landing will also receive garbage service on Wednesday. All other garbage services will resume on the normal schedule.

Modified Garbage Schedule – Thanksgiving 2018

City of Guntersville offices will be closed for the Thanksgiving Holidays on Thursday–Friday, November 22-23, 2018.

All residents will receive recycling service on Monday. Residents with regular Thursday garbage will receive service on Tuesday and those with regular Friday garbage will receive service on Wednesday. Gunter’s Landing will receive garbage service on Tuesday.

Residential Garbage Delay 9/28/18

Residential garbage pickup will be delayed today Friday 28th due to the transfer station in Albertville being down. The hope is that it will be back up and running around lunch and pickup will resume ASAP. We apologize for the delay and thank you for your patience.

Memorial Day Garbage/Recycling Schedule

The City of Guntersville will be closed for Memorial Day on Monday, May 28, 2018. The modified sanitation schedule for this week is as follows:

Residents with regular Monday recycling will receive service on Tuesday and those with regular Tuesday on Wednesday. Gunter’s Landing will have both recycling and garbage services on Tuesday. All other garbage will resume on its normal service schedule.

2017/2018 Christmas and New Years Week Modified Recycling and Garbage Schedule

The City of Guntersville will be closed for Christmas on Monday, December 25th and Tuesday, December 26th and will also be closed on New Years Day Monday, January 1st.  The modified Christmas & New Years Weeks Recycling & Garbage Schedule is as follows:

Christmas Week

  • All recycling City-wide will be picked up on Wednesday, December 27th. This will include garbage for residents of Gunter’s Landing.
  • Garbage pickup will resume its regular schedule on Thursday, December 28th and Friday, December 29th.

New Year’s Week

  • Regular Monday recycling will be picked up on Tuesday, January 2nd. This will include garbage pickup for residents of Gunter’s Landing.
  • Regular Tuesday recycling will be picked up on Wednesday, January 3rd.
  • Garbage pickup will resume its regular schedule on Thursday, January 4th and Friday, January, 5th.

Please have your recycling and garbage out for pickup service the night before or by 6:00 AM on your modified date.
