Residential Garbage Delay 9/28/18

Residential garbage pickup will be delayed today Friday 28th due to the transfer station in Albertville being down. The hope is that it will be back up and running around lunch and pickup will resume ASAP. We apologize for the delay and thank you for your patience.

TVA’s Guntersville Reservoir Herbicide Treatment Schedule

TVA will continue implementation of its Aquatic Plant Management Program on Guntersville Reservoir during the week of July 2nd – 6th , 2018.  This will include areas along residential and commercial shoreline as part of the Lake Guntersville Stakeholder Program as well as developed public access areas.  Those areas scheduled for treatment can be found below.  Treatments will be made in no particular order and are weather dependent.  For a list of areas treated during 2018 as well as treatment area maps, please visit tva.com/aquaticplants under “Aquatic Weeds Treatment Schedule”.

Memorial Day Garbage/Recycling Schedule

The City of Guntersville will be closed for Memorial Day on Monday, May 28, 2018. The modified sanitation schedule for this week is as follows:

Residents with regular Monday recycling will receive service on Tuesday and those with regular Tuesday on Wednesday. Gunter’s Landing will have both recycling and garbage services on Tuesday. All other garbage will resume on its normal service schedule.

2018 Good Friday Garbage & Recycling Schedules

The City of Guntersville will be closed on Good Friday, March 30, 2018. The modified schedule for sanitation services for this week are as follows:

All recycling will be on the normal schedule. Residents with regular Thursday garbage will receive service on Wednesday and regular Friday garbage will receive service on Thursday. Gunter’s Landing garbage will be on its regular schedule.
