2020 Municipal Election for the District 2 Run-Off between Phillip Kelley and Larry Wilson will be held October 6th from 7am – 7pm at the Guntersville Recreation Center. You can request your absentee ballot at 256-571-7560, and those must be requested by October 1st. Only those residents living in District 2 can vote in this run-off election.

Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday August 25, 2020, an election for the purpose of electing a Mayor and City Council by Districts will be held for the  following offices: 

Mayor At Large

District 1, District 2, District 3, District 4, District 5, District 6, District 7

All registered and qualified electors of the State who have resided within the municipality for at least 30 days prior to the election may participate in said election. 

The Polling Place for electors in District 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and Mayor at Large will be opened at the Guntersville Recreation Center, 1500 Sunset Drive,  Guntersville, AL 7:00 A.M. — 7:00 P.M.  If necessary, a run off election will  be held October 6, 2020. 

Statement of Candidacy forms will be available at Guntersville City Hall at  the office of the City Clerk beginning at 8:00 A.M. on  July 7, 2020 until July 21, 2020 at 5:00 P.M. Any qualified elector desiring to become a candidate in such election must file a duly sworn statement of candidacy and have lived in their  district 60 days prior. The qualifying fee is $50. 

TVA will continue implementation of its Aquatic Plant Management Program on Guntersville Reservoir during the week of June 8^th through 12^th, 2020. This will include areas along residential and commercial shoreline as part of the Lake Guntersville Stakeholder Program as well as developed public access areas. Those areas scheduled for treatment can be found below. Treatments will be made in no particular order and are weather dependent. Honeycomb Creek – Sunrise Marina, Honeycomb Public Ramp (downstream of Hwy 431)

Browns Creek – Marshall County Park #2, Street Bluff Fish Camp, Riverview Campground, Warrenton Public Ramp, Smith Shores Subdivision, Warrenton Subdivision

Big Spring Creek – Big Spring Creek Subdivision, portions of Big Spring Creek 2^nd Addition

Five Points Area – Little Mountain Campground and Marina, Mountain Lakes Campground and Marina

Columbus City Area – Ossa-Win-Tha Resort, Camp 30 Subdivision, Camp Ney-a-Ti, Camp Ney-a-Ti Subdivision, Camp Trico

Langston Area – South Lewis Evans Subdivision, portion of Cabiness Cove Subdivision

Mink Creek – portion of J.W. Goodwin Subdivision, McLemore Point Subdivision, portion of Lakeview Beach Subdivision, Mink Creek Subdivision upstream of AL-79, Mink Creek Public Ramp
