The Guntersville Tree Commission is a 7-member Municipal Board dedicated to the beautification of Guntersville. The Commission works in close contact with the City Horticulturist and her staff on various projects.
Projects include: Residential and Non-residential beautification awards; Project Knowledge (a tree identification trail for Middle School students); a Riparian Garden on the walking trail; a luncheon for all recycling and sanitation workers; Publix Park tree plantings and placement of benches and recycling/trash receptacles; placement of recycling/trash receptacles at City Boat launches; Arbor Day events; Problem tree maintenance; Public guest speaker programs; Tree giveaways; and the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting refreshments.
