Anyone operating a business, providing a service or delivering goods within the City Limits of Guntersville must obtain a Business Licenses. All new businesses, changes of business ownership, or relocation of existing business shall be inspected and approved by the Building Official and Fire Marshall before a license can be issued.
Business License are renewed each calendar year in December and you have until January 31st to renew without a penalty then there will be a penalty of 15% added to the license fee until March 1st then 30% will be added.
Any person, firm, association, or corporation engaged in any business outside the municipality but within the police jurisdiction hereof shall pay one-half (1/2) of the amount of the license imposed for like business within the municipality.
