SUMMARY:The Nina and Pinta Coming to Guntersville Harbor
DESCRIPTION:The Columbus Foundation’s aim is to educate the public on the type of ship\, the “caravel”\, that Columbus used to discover a new world in the year 1492. Columbus made 4 voyages totaling 12 years on ships like these. We take great pride in displaying and maintaining the only traveling replicas in existence today.  The ships tour together as a “sailing museum” for the purpose of educating the public and school groups on the ‘Caravel’\, Portuguese ships used by Columbus and many early explorers to Discover the New World.  Built completely by hand\, without power tools\, in Brazil since 1985.  The Columbus Foundation receives no funds from government agencies or private foundations. We are supported entirely by the tickets purchased to tour the ships. \nGeneral Admission:  $8.50 for adults\, $7.50 for seniors (age 60+)\, $6.50 age 5-16\n(not in a school group)\, age 4 and under are free\nGroup & School Tours:  minimum of 15 people\, $5 per person\n\n\nHours: 9am to 6pm except Nov-Dec 9am to 5pm\n\n\nFor information and School Group Bookings\, call (787) 672-2152\n\n\nPorts\, date\, and prices are subject to change.
