Guntersville Fire/Rescue employs thirty-seven personnel who are trained and certified by the Alabama Personnel Standards Commission as professional fire fighters. Fifteen of these fire fighters are licensed paramedics, six are emergency medical technicians-intermediate level, and ten are emergency medical technicians-basic level. The fire department is currently equipped with three Advanced Life Support engines, one Advanced Life Support/brush truck and one Special Operations Response truck and trailer.
